Do pets aid a persons mood, from sad to content? I think pets bring joy not only to the owner but also the people around it. My family is a great example; two months ago we got a puppy (Pictured at left). It wasn’t just his adorable face that makes you smile, it's his whole personality. We decided to name him Shirley Holmes, derived from the infamous Sherlock Holmes, because he was very observant of his surroundings. Shirley is playful no matter what time of day, he won over everyone’s' hearts. When i say everyone, i mean EVERYONE. My mum takes him to work with her (a Coin Laundry), and he's adored by every single customer who comes through the door. Since Shirley is only a baby, people tend to carry him, he feels soft and it's just like literally holding a bundle of joy.
There's something about having a pet, or playing with someone else’s. There's a certain calm that comes over you when you pet one, and a sense of childhood when you play with one. It's not only dogs, any pet that you can be interactive with, probably not a goldfish due to its boundaries. If you were to ask me would I prefer a dog or a thousand dollars, let’s just say I’ll be working very hard to buy some chew toys.
There are of course people with irrational fear of animals; maybe they had a bad experience. Coming near a dog (or animal) right down scares them. I think they should one, get help, or two begin to enjoy living with a pet and get over their fear. Also, people who are allergic to dogs (or the certain type of pet they want), if their allergies aren't too bad they should often visit a friend with a domestic pet, and play with them, but wash their hands well after words. Now for the people with harsh allergic reactions, they should a Tomagotchi or an online virtual pet. The idea of playing with a pet is still there though if virtual.

Omg I think it's so true that it feels like your holding a bundle of joy when you hold an animal. I myself have a cat(💙) and he's the cutest cat I have ever seen. He's grey and white and super cute. He's about 4 years old and I love him more than anything on earth. I bought him a cat nip toy but he never uses it. Do you have any suggestions for what I should do? If you do please write back

Hey Camille, well I'm not sure about cat toys, honestly my dog gets a kick out of chew toys and old raggedy shirts. A friend I mine suggested this site

You barely have to buy anything at all, kinda makes me wish I had a cat so I could make these for him.

Also check this out, I'm a big Internet cat video person but this picture gets me every time. :3
